Site visits outside Copenhagen as a part of the CEM Advanced Power Plant Flexibility Campaign

The bus tour will include to site visits. First, a visit to the Danish system operator (Energinet) regarding Denmark’s experiences on how to balance the Danish power system with more than 40% wind power. Focus on market design, main sources of system flexibility and their value, including the role of flexible power plants - and Q&A session. Second, a visit to Fynsværket – a highly flexible coal fired CHP plant with supplementary bio boiler (limited number of participants and priority for AFPC campaign partners).

CEM Advanced Power Plant Flexibility Campaign Workshop on Campaign Results (IEA)

The event consists of a workshop for campaign partners and other interested public sector experts, policy makers and power plant sector stakeholders, including power plant owners and equipment manufacturers. The aim is to discuss experiences of market designs supporting generation and system flexibility and technical experiences of enhancing the capabilities of power plants for flexible operation and production. It will also feature the launch of the final campaign report from the IEA and an expert panel discussion.

CEM Advanced Power Plant Flexibility Campaign – Technical workshop on power plant flexibility (Danish Energy Agency)

Presentation of technical experiences of enhancing thermal power plant flexibility and other types of flexibility by Danish companies, which are highly skilled with enhancing power plant flexibility both in Denmark and globally (incl. Q&A). The event will conclude with 45 minutes of informal networking and refreshments.
